Ifølge L'Equipe stiller ikke FDJ-rytter Thibaut Pinot til start på tirsdagens etappe. Nyheten bekreftes også av rytterens eget lag. Pinot har i flere dager slitt med en sår hals. Den samme sykdommen tvinger ham nå til å stå av treukersrittet. Til tross for gårsdagens hviledag, maktet 23-åringen aldri å trille til start på dagens 16. etappe fra Vaison-la-Romaine.
