Nekter Obama å forby oljeboring til havs

En amerikansk dommer nekter president Barack Obama å forby all dypvannsboring.

Distriktsdommer i New Orleans Martin Feldman avviste torsdag en begjæring fra Obama-administrasjonen om å utsette en kjennelse fra tirsdag, som gir flere oljeselskaper medhold i at myndighetene ikke kan stanse all dypvannsboring.

Ønsket om en stans i denne formen for oljeboring kom i kjølvannet av katastrofen i Mexicogolfen.

Flere oljeselskaper protesterte imidlertid mot myndighetenes vedtak og gikk til domstolen i håp om å få det omgjort, noe de lyktes med.

Obama-administrasjonen kan fortsatt bringe saken inn for en ankedomstol. (©NTB)
