Tigerbaby «Elsa» ble avvist av tigermamma – flytter inn hos tysk familie

Den fire måneder gamle tigerjenta Elsa har flyttet inn i huset til et tysk ektepar etter at kattedyret ble avvist av sin egen mor.

Fire måneder gamle Elsa, en sibirtiger, ble født i et omreisende sirkus og avvist av sin egen mor under et stopp på øya Rügen. Nå har hun blitt adoptert av en tobeint mor.

– Det er en fulltidsjobb, på linje med å passe en baby, sier Monica Farell.

Hun driver sammen med ektemannen Saad Rose en dyrepark i Dassow i delstaten Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, nær Lübeck. Elsa er innlosjert i ekteparets bolig.

– En løve og en tiger har allerede blitt oppdratt i huset vårt. Dyrene er som alle andre familiemedlemmer for oss, sier Saad Rose.

I mars skal Elsa flytte ut av enerommet hun har fått i boligen, og tilbringe tid i en innhegning i parken. Der får hun selskap. Ekteparets park er tilholdssted for 13 andre tigre og fem løver. (©NTB)
