Etter 35 år med absurde funn av Garfield-telefoner langs franskekysten, har man funnet forklaringen.

Siden 1980 har det med jevne og ujevne mellomrom dukket opp knall oransje fasttelefoner som ser ut som tegneseriefiguen Garfield på franske strender. Miljøvernere som trasker milevis langs strendene for å plukke plast, har gjennom årene plukket hundrevis av større og mindre oransje plastbiter, og ingen har skjønt hvorfor de til stadighet dukket opp. Man mistenkte selvsagt at garfieldtelefonene hadde blitt mistet av et frakteskip, men man fant aldri noe spor etter en container el
