Ole Selnæs risikerer fortsatt straff for munnhoggeriet i Baku.
FIFA opprettet disiplinærsak etter at Ole Selnæs raste mot dommerne etter 0-1-tapet mot Aserbajdsjan. Nå røper den norske landslagsspilleren hva som ble sagt i spillertunnelen etter kampen.
«After the game I walked off the pitch and into the tunell where the linesman where standing. As I passed him on my way to the changing room, I said to him: «You referees whistled on everything, you are so f****** bad.». That was all. There were lot's of other people there, and other things might be said, but I could not be responsible for that. At that time it was a lot of noise in the tunell – also from Aserbajdsjan people (staff, players, stadium workers) who celebrated their win.», sa Selnæs, ifølge fotball.no.
St. Étienne-spilleren har i ettertid beklaget uttalelsene i retning assistentdommeren.
I kamprapporten sto det at trønderen fikk rødt kort etter kampen. Dette ble imidlertid aldri gitt. FIFA bekrefter at det har blitt begått en saksbehandlingsfeil, og de lot Selnæs spille mot San Marino i påvente av en avgjørelse i disiplinærsaken.
Møtet i FIFAs disiplinærkomité er 27. oktober. NFFs frist om tilsvar er 17. oktober.
