Masseslagsmål og grov rasisme da England seiret på overtid

Rødt kort og masseslagsmål i serbisk-engelsk fotballdrama.

Serbia U21–England U21 0–1 (0–2 sammenlagt):

Sunderland-spiss Connor Wickhams sene overtidsmål fikk det til å renne fullstendig over for både det serbiske publikummet og en rekke spillere på banen i Krusevac tirsdag kveld.

TV-bildene viser hvordan flasker og stygge rasistiske skjellsord regner fra tribunen idet engelskmennene startet feiringen umiddelbart etter kampslutt.

Slagsmål på banen
Både Englands Danny Rose og Serbia-kaptein Slobodan Medojovic får så rødt kort i de ville tumultene som oppstår.

På vei av banen viser en sint Rose tydelig tegn til at publikum har ropt apelyder mot ham. Samtidig er omtrent samtlige spillere, trenere og støtteapparat fra begge lag involvert i heftige opptøyer på banen.

Til slutt må delegater fra begge lands forbund inn på banen for å skille kamphanene og desperat prøve å få spillerne i garderoben.

TV-bildene viser imidlertid serbiske spillere som fysisk nekter sine engelske motspillere å gå i garderoben. På et tidspunkt oppstår det regelrette kampscener i spillertunnelen.

FA fordømmer
Det engelske fotballforbundet har sendt ut en pressemelding der de fordømmer oppførselen i Serbia.

– Fa fordømmer både de rasistiske scenene og konfrontasjonene som oppsto ved full tid hvor våre spillere og vårt støtteapparat ble provosert på den mest ekstreme måte, skriver FA.

– FA har rapportert en rekke hendelser og rasistiske angrep til Uefa etter kampen. Disse var tilsynelatende rettet mot flere svarte spillere fra tribunen. Saken ligger nå hos Uefa.
